What you should pay for your next new car

FOR The idea of a Volvo with off-road cred is too much for many green wellie-types to resist. The XC70 retains all the usual Volvo benefits of safety, solidity and enormous carrying capacity.

AGAINST Expensive and disappointing package - an Audi Allroad or BMW X5 makes a far more able choice and both have a stronger image and better residual values than the Volvo.
